Restaurant Moeders in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is a busy city and it is smart to make a restaurant reservation in advance. You can do so through our main Amsterdam restaurants page.
You will have no doubt you are in restaurant Moeders when you see the vast collection of photos of mothers dotting the wall upon entrance, continuing around the dining room. Like most buildings in the Jordaan, Moeders is very old keeping its history alive with the large neon light on the ceiling, dating back over fifty years when this was once a dance school. In line with the theme, none of the china, cutlery or glasses match, as they are to represent the ‘odd’ kitchenware from your mother’s cupboard.
Moeders has an a la carte menu from which you can create your own 3-course meal priced at a set 23 or 25 euro. Classic items include ‘Stamppot’ or their ‘Mother’s Spare Ribs’ with which you may choose your preference of vegetables and potatoes. To accompany your meal they have a wine list changing every year, with a selection of International wines from Chili, Australia and Portugal to name a few.
Throughout your meal you are served by one of their friendly waitresses whether you are seated in the cosy eatery or their sunny canal-side terrace.
Restaurant Moeders is a relaxed and atmospheric diner exuding a unique personality. This is the perfect place for a good quality meal with your chosen company, or even your mother.
Open daily 4pm-12am, kitchen from 5pm-10.30pm.
