Ibis Styles Hotel Amsterdam (Bellevue)
Bellevue hotel, recently renamed to Ibis Styles Amsterdam Central Station Hotel is a budget hotel as it should be – simple, but with comfort and charm, clean and well kept, friendly. Yes, you will have to pay a bit more for a room than in other budget hotels. But as three stars Bellevue Hotel is located just in front of the Central Station, you will also save on the taxi to the station or to the airport. You may just walk to the platform and your train ticket to Amsterdam airport Schiphol will be just € 3,60.
Bellevue Hotel in Amsterdam opened in March of 2005. On its ground floor there is a nice traditional lobby, a bistro, a brasserie De Ij and a typical Amsterdam pub or as the Dutch say a brown café – Karpershoek (Carp’s corner) established in 1606 – one of the oldest in town.
No climbing up the stairs in Hotel Bellevue – there is a lift. The rooms are very small, modern, very clean and cozy, even if sometimes their functionality has been sacrificed for their minimalist style. All rooms have pleasant ambient light, nice furniture, thick curtains and double glass windows, flat screen TV’s. They are all air-conditioned and they have a free WiFi Internet connection. If you did arrive by car, there is a big parking garage in front of the Central Station.
All together - Bellevue offers no luxury, but a modern comfort with a nice Dutch tint appearing in design, service, meals and drinks.
