Stadsschouburg
The Municipal Theater is the home of the theater group Toneelgroep Amsterdam, one of the most influential theater companies in the Netherlands. The building of the Municipal Theater in neo-renaissance architecture can't be missed on Leidseplein square.

Concertgebouw
The famous Amsterdam Philharmonics is called Concertgebouw. It closes the Museumplein from the south-west, and faces the Rijksmuseum. The classicist 19th century building has today a modern annex.

Muziektheater
The most important venue for opera and ballet in the Netherlands. It is part of the Stopera, a complex building which also houses the Amsterdam city hall. The music theater is situated at the borders of the river Amstel at the Waterlooplein, in one of the oldest parts of the city.
