De Parade Theater Festival in Amsterdam
Held each year in four big cities in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Hague) the Parade begins at the end of June and ends with the end of summer, giving performances for 15 – 17 days in each city. The festival presents opportunity for small theater groups, comedians and magicians to perform in front of the mainly young audience by supplying colorful tents and setting them up in the public parks. The festival provides also technical equipment as light and sound gear charging performers for rental a symbolic daily fee.
Many performances are addressed to small children and as it all happens near their playgrounds, there is always a lot of fun in Parade tents.
