Hotel Seven One Seven Amsterdam
A 19th century canal house at Prinsengracht, close to Leidsestraat – a busy commercial street leading to Leidseplein, one of the entertainment centers of Amsterdam. Inside - a quiet, elegant and very traditional residence. Only five luxurious suites, each of them named after a famous writer (Goethe, Shakespeare, Tolkien), painter (Picasso) or composer (Liszt, Mahler, Schubert) and two rooms (Mahler, Room at the Top); each of them in different colors, beautifully decorated. Seven One Seven is more an up-market guest house, than a hotel. It attracts its visitors with the conventional, affluent and warm interior. It also has a dining room (called Stravinsky), salon and a library – all in soft colors, comfortable, traditional. Nobody heard about the minimalism here. Peace, luxury, relaxation. In summer, you may sit in a small but charming patio.
Seven One Seven offers its guests a tranquil place in one of the busiest spots in Amsterdam. You will have only three minutes walking distance to Leidseplein with all its cafés, restaurants, casino and many night clubs; within ten minutes you will reach the Rijksmuseum and Spiegelgracht, with countless antique shops. Most fashionable street in town - P.C.Hooftstraat also near – 10 minutes walking at most, while Vondelpark is even closer. Walking Leidsestraat another direction, you will have the commercial heart of Amsterdam – Kalverstraat, Kalvertoren and a step further – the Dam square with Bijenkorf. Strolling along Prinsengracht you will reach Anne Frank House within 15 minutes.

The old building of Seven One Seven has big traditional windows and an old-fashioned structure. This house lives with the city around it.
