Sarphati Hotel Amsterdam
Just in front of the Sarphati Park, in a hundred years old townhouse, there is a small hotel called Sarphati Hotel. It proudly claims three stars and in theory, its room rates are high. But in reality, it is recently often listed as a two star hotel, with vast discounts are applied and in consequence hotel’s prices are low budget rates. Sarphati Hotel attained the reputation of the good budget hotel.
Sarphati Hotel qualities are obvious - it is impeccably clean, friendly and warm. Its interiors feel exceptionally small and are far from luxury, but they are quiet and comfortable. No minimalism or experimental design furniture – traditional chairs, good beds, mirrors, simple lighting, sheets and towels smell fresh. The hotel has a small lobby with a tiny reception desk, a cozy breakfast room, where is serves tasty, simple breakfast (included in the price of the room). No lift – a steep staircase as in most of Amsterdam hotels.
Good communication with the city centre (tram line 25). There are also several good and inexpensive restaurants in the direct neighborhood of the Sarphati Hotel, as well as Michelin starred restaurants in the nearby Hotel Okura. Just behind the corner from the hotel, there is a lively market - Albert Cuypmarkt. The RAI Congress Centre is within 15 minutes walking distance from the Sarphati Hotel.
